KYLE HUGHES-ODGERS  |  A SURVIVAL GUIDE

This exhibition is the final outcome from a 1 month residency in Madrid and the end of 3 months on the road and it is the first time that the australian artist shows his work in Spain.

The show focuses on ideas around human behaviour and existence. An abstract visual representation of ‘field notes’ that is a reference guide to modern day life. Exploring ideas around life, death, nature, the built environment, human impact, mapping, precious objects and warning signs.

Finished artworks are across various mediums, archival ink on acid free paper, acrylic on canvas and paper and small wooden sculpture.

Kyle Hughes-Odgers is one of Australia’s leading young visual artists. For over a decade he has exhibited and created artwork throughout Australia and internationally: New York City, Washington DC, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Berlin and Cambodia.

His work is held in numerous private and public art collections. Hughes-Odgers has completed multiple major public art commissions in Australia and abroad.
