TATU VUOLTEENAHO  |  DRAG ATTACK PAINTINGS

Drag Attack is an artistic project by Tatu Vuolteenaho in venues and nightclubs in Helsinki, Madrid and Valencia since 2013.

Drag attack parties generated a heterotopic space-time where the ephemeral installations and the performances by Tatu and his collaborators made of each event a celebration of the night, transvestism and altered states of consciousness. The Art idea is present in every Drag Attack party. Performances, makeup designs, styling, flyers, posters and music are the result of the conceptualization of each party.

During these years, Tatu has generated an artistic archive from the documentation produced during different events, creating a portrait of the underground nightlife of the last five years. In this first show we present some of the portraits of the participants in the drag attack parties performed by the artist.
