TACCUINI
2ª solo show by ALICE PASQUINI at Swinton Gallery

Swinton Gallery and @grantlibreria in collaboration with the Italian publishing company Treccani @treccanigram present in Madrid the new publishing project of Italian artist Alice Pasquini @alicepasquini . This is the spanish launch of Alicè’s new publication, which includes a selection of the small-scale drawings that she sketches in her notebooks, which she then transfers to walls around the world. Many of these original notebooks can be enjoyed live during the exhibition that will accompany the presentation of the book.
“Taccuini” , in addition to showing Alicè’s original notebooks, includes brief comments (in Italian and English) by the artist herself, a critical text by Vincenzo Trione, an essay by Emanuele Trevi and a text on the artist’s career written by Anna Luigia De Simone. The volume offers a direct look at the creative process and the meaning behind each drawing, and guides the reader on a unique visual journey through Alicè’s imagination.
Book launch will take place on January 31st at 7:00 p.m. and will consist in a conversation between Alice Pasquini and curator Diana Prieto (@madridstreetartproject) and the original sketchbooks that have been included in the publication will be on display.
In addition, for people who cannot attend the day of the book launch, original sketchbooks will be on display in our gallery until February 13.
